Privacy Policy
We ask for very little, we use it only for what you asked us to do, and we never sell it. This page explains exactly what we collect and why, in plain language.
The short version
We collect your name, email address and a few details about your brand — only when you choose to fill in one of our forms or book a call. We use that information to reply to you and to do the work you asked for. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for anyone else's advertising.
Who we are
Pickle Financials provides fractional CFO, accounting and bookkeeping services to pickleball paddle, apparel and gear brands. This policy covers picklefinancials.com and the forms on it.
It does not cover the confidential financial records we handle once you become a client. Those are governed by the engagement letter we sign with you and by our professional obligations as accountants, both of which are stricter than this page.
What we collect, and why
When you fill in a form
There are two forms on this site. Each one asks only for what it needs.
| Form | What it asks for | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Book a Call | First name, last name, email address | So we know who is booking and can reach you if the call needs rescheduling |
| Margin Leak Check | Name, email address, brand name, website, sales channels, and the concern you select | So we can build and send you the margin snapshot you requested |
Both forms send their contents by email to hello@picklefinancials.com. Nothing is written to a database on this website, and nothing is stored in the page itself. If you submit the Margin Leak Check, we also send a copy of your snapshot back to the email address you gave us.
Both forms include a hidden field that real people never see. It exists to catch automated spam. If it is filled in, the submission is silently discarded.
When you book a call
Scheduling is handled by Calendly, embedded on our booking page. When you pick a time, Calendly collects your name, email address, time zone and anything else its booking form asks for, and it does so under its own privacy policy rather than this one. We receive the resulting booking.
When you simply visit
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and how they found us. It sets cookies in your browser and records things like the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, the type of device and browser you use, and the site or search that sent you here. We look at this in aggregate. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not run advertising or remarketing from it.
Our fonts are served by Google Fonts. Loading a page means your browser requests those font files from Google, which means Google sees your IP address in the process.
Our web host keeps standard server logs, as essentially all web hosts do.
What we never collect here
- Payment details. There is no checkout on this site. We never ask for card or bank numbers through a web form.
- Passwords or account credentials. There is nothing to log into.
- Your books or financial records. Those move through the secure channels we set up with you after you engage us, never through this website.
- Sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers.
If anyone asks you to send bank details, card numbers or login credentials by replying to an email from us, stop. We will never ask for those by email or through this website. Call or write to us at an address you already know to be ours before acting on a request like that.
Who else sees your information
A small number of service providers process data on our behalf, because they run the tools we use to operate:
- Google Workspace — form submissions are delivered to, and stored in, our email inbox.
- Google Analytics and Google Fonts — website usage data and font requests, as described above.
- Calendly — call bookings.
- Our web host — server logs and page delivery.
Beyond that, we share your information only where we are legally required to, or where you have asked us to. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
How long we keep it
Form submissions stay in our email inbox as part of our business correspondence. If you become a client, we keep the records we are professionally required to keep for as long as we are required to keep them. If you do not, and you would rather we did not hold your enquiry, say so and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Ask what we hold. Email us and we will tell you what we have about you.
- Ask us to correct it if something is wrong.
- Ask us to delete it. We will, unless we are required to keep it — and we will tell you if that is the case.
- Stop the analytics. Block or clear cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works normally either way.
- Stop hearing from us. Reply to any email asking us to stop, and we will.
Depending on where you live, local law may give you further rights over your personal information. We will honour those rights when they apply — just ask.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection to our email provider. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, so we do not claim it is; what we can say is that we do not store your information on this website, which removes a large category of risk.
Children
This site is aimed at business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
